Listed below are my top rated 40 songs of 2009. The list is a combination of highly requested dance floor winners, combined with some personal favorites. All of the songs below were used out in the field.

The first ten songs are listed in countdown fashion. The last thirty tracks are not ranked in any particular order.

10. I Remember - Deadmau5 w/Kaskade. Deadmau5 (pronounced 'deadmouse' has an innovative techno production sound, and this song is sexy and sleek).
9. Human - The Killers.
8. Calle Ocho (I Know You Want Me) - Pitbull.
7. When Love Takes Over - David Guetta w/Kelly Rowland.
6. Empire State of Mind - Jay-Z with Alicia Keys. An amazing late night anthem.
5. Single Ladies - Beyonce. Crowds of all ages love this song, and it the hot song to use for the bouquet toss.
4. Hotel Room Service - Pitbull.
3. I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas.
2. Fire Burning - Sean Kingston. "Somebody call 911, Shawty fire burning on the dance floor!"
1. Poker Face - Lady Gaga. Congratulations Lady Gaga!

Now, the other 30:

11. Paparazzi (Moto Blanc RMX)– Lady Gaga. This song can definitely get inside your head. The remix features a brisker tempo than the original.

12. I Took the Night – Chelley.

13. Toes – Zac Brown Band. The only country selection to make the list!

14. She Came Along – Sharam w/Kid Cudi. What a great combination, with deep house producer Sharam (formerly of Deep Dish) working with emerging rapper Kid Cudi in a Wild West motif.

15. Lark on My Go-Kart – Asher Roth. Emerging rap artist Roth, of Morrisville, PA, has a smooth flow. While this song wasn't as popular as his "I Love College," I prefer its grimy guitar sample.

16. Sugar (Disco Fries RMX) – Flo Rida f/Wynter. New Jersey-based remixers, the Disco Fries, work an electro interpretation of this Flo Rida jam.

18. Dance 4 Me – Prince. This comes from the MPLSound disc of Prince's 2009 3-CD release.

19. Give it Up to Me – Shakira f/Lil Wayne.

20. Hot n’ Cold (LMFAO Rmx) – Katy Perry.

21. You are the Best Thing – Ray LaMontagne. An uplifting and amazing song, great for a couple's first dance at a wedding.
