Motown Dance Party - Our Favorite Songs

In my mind, "Motown" has always been a genre of music - one associated with the 1960s, Detroit and artists like Stevie Wonder, the Temptations and The Four Tops.  Of course, Motown is actually a record label that was founded by Berry Gordy, Jr. in 1960.  The "Motown Sound" is a style of soul music with a distinct pop influence.

Motown is excellent party music and often works well in uniting guests of various ages on the dancefloor.  Danceable, joyous and not too fast, the Motown Sound is a great way to jump start a dance party!

The Four Tops
